Living in an area of outstanding beauty, no one cares more than we do.

We recognise the importance of the area we live and work in, for its stunning scenery, abundant wildlife and cultural heritage.

Working in a UNESCO World Heritage designated National Park, we do our very best to ensure we provide the best services whilst having as little environmental footprint as possible. Therefore, we are committed to the integration of responsible and sustainable practices into our operations.

We print on FSC® papers

By its very nature, wood is a renewable resource. When properly managed, harvesting timber from woodland can be a productive way in safeguarding these systems for future generations.

FSC™ (Forest Stewardship Council®) is the hallmark of excellence in sustainable paper sourcing and is currently the only wood certification endorsed by WWF, the Woodland Trust and Greenpeace. In order for the paper we use to be given this certification, the forest in which the wood is sourced must meet a range of best-in-class standards. These standards include a requirement to protect and maintain woodland and ecological integrity in the long term; as well as allowing us to be able to trace the paper we use back to the woodland of origin.

We print on Recycled papers

The use of recycled papers in our services is another way we can reduce our environmental impact, and due to advances in technology and processes is still widely usable in the printing process. This reduces the use of water, energy and produces less carbon emissions than the production of virgin paper. The reduction in waste is another important factor to ourselves as paper can be recycled 4 to 5 times. The use of recycled papers is also scientifically endorsed by UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme), WWF and Greenpeace.

We use superior quality vegetables based inks

Using inks manufactured using vegetable based oils such as soybean or corn oil is a more sustainable option taken by ourselves to replace the use of inks manufactured using petroleum.

This decision not only reduces our use of non-renewable materials, but also significantly reduces the amount of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) released into the air during printing compared to petroleum based inks, as these compounds contribute towards ozone and smog.

We recycle all our waste products

Throughout our processes we ensure all waste produced follows the most environmentally sensitive waste streams available. Whether that be recycling through our own processes or sending waste to be recycled, this is done responsibly and to reduce our reliance on raw materials when manufacturing.
